Music:

A
blend of 80's flashback pop rock, and the more current power pop
rehash of the last 7 or so years. This track has the potential
to rock even harder than it already does. Having excellent
forward driving energy, and the right mood set, this track could
do quite well for you.

Lyrics:
|
Good
solid straight ahead positive to the point words about finally
finding freedom from the chains life wraps around you. I'm
assuming you to put the word "left" in this line -
"all of those you far behind". Don't print CD jackets
without thoroughly checking all the lyric's for errors! Also, be
aware of continuity in your sentence structure so that one line
makes sense in the middle of another -"How does it feel to
be free? Finally out on your own How do we even get ahead at
all?" doesn't answer it's own questions for a final payoff
that ties it all together.

Arrangement
&
Production:
|
A
very well put together piece with a well thought out
arrangement, and good tones and sounds to boot. There are some
groove/pocket issues that could be tightened up, but that's more
of a musicianship issue than a production one. Otherwise, the
mix and master are fine. Good work.

Lead Vocal:
|
It's
difficult to determine whether or not an auto-tune program was
used, but your pitch, tone, and character are pretty dead on.
Also, you come across genuine and believable in your delivery,
making the story line more heartfelt and valid in the ear of the
listener. Great job.

Musicianship:
|
Clearly,
this is a group that is well rehearsed or at very least capable
of sounding so in a studio environment. However, the way the
various instruments interact can be described as tightly loose!
More so due to an individual's tendency to rush/drag their
particular feel on their respective instrument.(all of you)
That's not bad, but that's not great either. Then again, the
Stones have made a living forever being much more loose than you
guys are.

Originality:
|
Loverboy
meets Weezer @ Green days house for a musical orgy with Molly
hatchet on vocals. And I mean that in a good way. You taken the
best elements from a number of styles and combined them into a
completely marketable sound that''s not necessarily your own,
but valid none the less.

Marketability:
|
To
your current fanbase online or at live shows, this is a 100%
valid marketable product (sorry to use the product word, but
that's what it is). Something is keeping this track from having
the final polish it needs though, and it it hard to put a finger
on it. Maybe give the track to another producer/remixer (without
letting him hear the mixes you have) and see what they come up
with, it may very well be that extra something . . .

General
Comments:

If
your live show in anyway resmbles the level of accomplishment
that you've demonstrated in this recording, you should be well
on your way to finding success. My guess is that you guys rock
live, and just haven't been able to capture it on record. Keep
on cranking out the hits . . .
