Music:

You've managed to create a very safe mainstream romp through the AAA radio ready jungle, without being a boring clone of every other song that's on the air. Way to go. Great hook, melody, and groove. The arrangement is a bit too long for heavy rotation but we'll get to that later.

Lyrics:

Sometimes thing's are best said in the most straight forward and simple manner. This you have accomplished here. There are however, some missing words in the lyric's you provided for our review, and you may want to go over them. Certainly, some of what you've said could be stated with more articulation and in a more poetic manner. But then again . . . it's only rock and roll. Good job.

Arrangement &
Production:

First thing's first. It's too long. Double choruses aren't needed everywhere, and when they do happen, why doesn't it pick up to double time (2&4 on the snare)? It's just screaming for it!!! And the lack of that happening makes the song drag on and on without feeling like it ever REALLY kicks in. Don't get me wrong, this song rocks! But that would take it to another level, especially on the very last outro chorus, but certainly on the build to the breakdown. Sonically, all tones, and the mix and master are great.

8

Lead Vocal:

Your pitch tone and delivery are wonderful. Yet there is something overdone in your character during the verse sections . . . a little too contrived sounding. Just be natural man. Hopefully it's not the auto tune that's doing it. Everywhere else your voice kicks ass! Great job.

8

Musicianship:

All parts written, produced, and performed (with the exception of the decision to stay half time all of the way through the song!) are flawless and professionally created. You guy's are the real thing. Stick with this lineup as every element is tasteful and absolutely rocks.

10

Originality:

We could list influences until we''re blue in the face here, but that''s not necessary. Obviously, you''ve been on the planet long enough to absorb and sponge what makes you tick enough to include it in your music, and you''ve decided to leave out anything that just doesn''t rock . . . mission accomplished!

7

Marketability:

There is absolutely no reason, other than if you've broken mirrors, walked under ladders, thrown salt over the wrong shoulder (you're getting the picture here) that you shouldn't receive rave reviews live, on CD, online, or with any industry executives that you shop your music to. This is radio, TV, Film, and publishing/licensing ready material. Period.

General Comments:

If all of your business ducks are in a row, you should have no problem attracting the attention of all that you seek. However, as you float out of the pond and down the river of the music industry waterway, be sure to watch out for waterfalls, and when you land in the ocean, don't drink the salty waters.
